Battery for G&G MP5 Blowback

So I've had this gun for about a week now it originally came with a 9.6V battery that was way too large to fit inside the gun's handguard. So I ordered an 8.4V battery that arrived in the mail this morning, it still won't fit in the gun. The 8.4V battery isn't as long as the 9.6V but the 8.4 won't split apart like the 9.6V did. I'm getting kinda tired of throwing money at this battery problem so I was wondering if anyone knows the right battery for the G&G MP5 Blowback and where I can get it or has any clue how to install the 8.4V. I realize now that I should have gone with the G&G MP5 Sd for the full stock battery.

An 8.4v mini should fit fine in a MP5.

....keep trying maybe?

Make sure the wires aren't in the way...cut some material away...don't be shy!

Okay I don't mean to be rude but does anyone own this gun? Because there is no way in hell the 8.4V fits inside, it just can't be done there isn't enough space. Myself and a number of other people have tried to get it in there but it's just not physically possible.

i have the lycaon but the g&g handguard looks different then mine. it looks too narrow on the side closeest to the mag. my 8.4V battery fits(very snug) in the regular mp5 handguard. guarder has some oversized handguards (google this, Guarder MP5 SD RIS System) that could fit a bigger battery, but they look sorta huge.

i made a post about fitting a battery in a mp5 ras handguard, have a look

I have a G&G MP5 Blowback. 1- Remove the bottom rail 2- split the handguard in 2. 3- You gotta split the nunchuck and put 1 part of it each side of the barrel. 4- reassemble the handguard 1 part at a time. Watch not to damage any wire.

(me english bad) . the whole process takes a big 2 min when you are used to it.
