Will it be sold seperately? or in a complete unit?

what kind of power does it require? I would rather make/use a separate power supply/battery pack instead of splitting off the main battery. if power consumption is similar to that of a marui tracer (4xAAA) then 2 x cr123 would be easy to rig and hide

LED's tend to use very little energy. The tracer is supposed to use the power off your regular power. But i suppose you could rig up a small battery pack to it. You could perhaps rig up a connection to a MOD stock or a MOD Grip that holds cr123's and just add a few contacts and wires and voila, a self contained Grip or stock battery pack for your tracer lol.
They must have a transister somewhere to be able to control the voltage to the LED. I cant imagine them using higher voltage LED's because the battery voltage range used by airsofters 7.2 - 11.6v is too great. too high and the LED's will fry, too low and the the LED will not receive enough power to activate the LED.
