Mechbox Shells

My current v3 mechbox shell broke, the little nubs that hold the cylinder head broke off I am shopping for a new mechbox, and i am looking for opinions, and experiences on which shell i should get.

I'm not really sure which brands are actually good in terms of shells, any input is appreciated. I have been looking at possibly SRC or KA so far, but like i said i am open for suggestions. If it helps, i have almost all modify aftermarket innards, mixed with whats came stock. Pretty well the only stock parts are the gears themselves. Also it's for an AK.

As for a budget, with the appropriate bushings, i am good with about $80 before tax and shipping.

Thanks for your efforts.

Classic Army or TM. For V3, I wouldnt touch any other shell.

Ive delt with enough King Arms Shells that Im Smart enough to avoid them when possible. But id take King Arms over SRC, G&G anyday. Jing Gong is a close 4rth after King Arms.

Edit : for 30 bucks at ASP, Thats not a bad deal. Id hit that.

I've installed a half dozen KA V2 mechboxes (hey, for $40, it's way better than the shell I bought 4 years ago, cost me close to $100, don't remember the brand) in the past, and am very impressed with them. I'd assume the V3 would be just as good. Avoid Deep Fire though (unsure if they make a V3), they are crap and their tolerances are bad.

Thoughts on this http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=5405 Does CA use a different motor mount? Looks odd in the pic.

you should scoop up that KA V3 shell for $30. I have an itch to buy a bunch of shells and have different fps boxes ready to drop in my AEG's, but I'm too lazy.
