Basic tamiya question
Bought some mini tamiya connectors. Do the male connectors go in the male or female plastic part? I hope that makes sense.

I'll put a +1 to that just for good measure.

I'll make it easy:
male will stick it into the female. think about why they call it male/female connections! |

Thanks, I'm glad that my question made sense. The connectors are dirt cheap but the shipping is not. I didn't wanna screw them up for a really stupid reason.

That not what I was talking about. I was refering to the little piece of metal thats in the plastic, not the actual plastic pieces. I mean come on give me a little credit.

No, you can put the metal connectors in either plastic housing. He was asking a valid question.

I'll add in for the sake of history, remember that mini batteries with large battery wiring, positive and negative are reverse wired. No idea why, but they are. Important if you make up an adaptor, focus on the square vs. half circle of the connector orientation, rather than the wire colour going into each. That will save you some fuses at the least. If your spending all this effort, why are you even using tamiya connectors? They're TERIBBLE lol
Switch to deans connectors! Not only are they more efficient, but there's no assembly required, your just solder the wires on and your done lol |

The conectors come in both male and female (the plastic parts).
The metal as you call them are called Pins and sockets. The pins are male and the sockets are female. The male metal pin goes into the female Plastic connector. And the female metal socket goes into the male connector. Looking at a battery you will see the female connector with male metal pins inside.
