Hey Everyone/Gear help

Hey everyone!

I'm new to ASC just wanted to say hi.

Also, I'm in the market for airsoft guns/gear and I just had a few questions, maybe some of the vets or even knowledgable noobs can help :P

I live in Winnipeg and I'd like to buy local as much as possible as to save on shipping/handling/duty/waiting, etc.

I'm 5'9", 125ish. lbs. Looking for a MARPAT BDU, a tan or CADPAT vest (preferably more recon-ish, i've always been a fan of travelling light to maximize speed/efficiency. thinking like, the standard 4 mag pouches and a couple aux pouches, with a combat belt. i'll buy a hydration pack later for long milsim games, but for now i'm just lookin for a good beginner setup). Also, I was looking at the KWA G36c from XT. In fact, the only place in Winnipeg I know to get airsoft gear/guns is XT, does anyone know of anywhere else?

Any help would be much appreciated, also, if you have any gear you want to get rid of, send me a PM!

Thanks, Sicki

First don't post wanted ads outside the classifieds section, even if it's not guns.

Second XT is probably good. You can get them from private/classified sales but you have to be AV'ed to get in on them (or at least meet people selling their stuff face to face so they know you're 18+, ie. after a game at a field you see they're selling their gun and show you're 18+ in this case you aren't AV'ed but the seller knows you're 18+).

I actually run a "rifleman" setup with a replica RAV vest. Check local surplus stores for clothes otherwise I have no idea where else to go if you want to stay local. If you want to stay in Canada there are a few places I know like DS Tactical (Daves Surplus), Drop Zone Tactical, Seals Action Gear, 911 Supply

Then if you want to go internationally then your options open a lot more. Flecktarn.co.uk (don't worry they don't just stock Fleck they have British DPM and Danish M82 or w/e) is one place that stands out in my mind that I was looking at for BDU's. There's also AirsoftPark which I've had great success with, they're awesome Based out of HK I believe but ships from a warehouse in Singapore or Malaysia or something like that.

If your looking locally, Anderson and Anderson has a nice selection, I'd recomend looking around on the site first, and give them a call before you go out, as Sometimes their hours are less then regular, but I've bought 95% of my kit there.

Didn't A&A screw over a bunch of people? In fact, may still owe some money if I recall correctly...?

I doubt that a lot of newbies would know about it, that was a long time ago (relatively). Just like Trumart, Propscam, and all those things in history. I mean how many people know about PK with APEC, and Blue Seas Trading Co. (Don't let this turn into a bashing thread, he did a lot although some of it was misguided, and it's not nice to talk about him in a bad way).

Xtreme tactics sell a lot of different thing relate airsoft. And they are well knowledge about airsoft. If you have question, or concern, they will often solve issue with you in friendly way.

I am not sure if XT still have this bonus, but you get free game for any >$100 purchasing.

There is several more retailer in Winnipeg. More information can be found in Manitoba Airsoft forum.

http://www.mb-airsoft.com/

Also, Get AV because you does find bargin price on used gear, and guns in Classified.

Note: it is important to understand that XT don't do Age verified for ASC or MAA. You still can use XT as meeting point, but do Age verified outside of building.

Yeah, my point was more that he screwed over people in the community... there's a lot of other places to take business to.

Just sayin'.
