Barrel Attached Bipods for my very heavy m4

I recently refit my KWA S-System with number of accessories like Hurricane EOtech 556, EOTech 4x magnifier, Magpul CTR Stock, flashlight...etc The total weight of the rifle is approaching 10+ pounds. It is simply quite heavy. I am thinking of getting the following barrel attached bi-pod:

UTG Low-Profile Dragon Claw Clamp-on Barrel Bi-pod

When my gun is not in used, I would like to attached this bi-pod to the gun barrel, so my rifle would become part of my house decoration. Would the gun barrel strong enough to withstand the weight of the rifle for extended period of time? My concern is that the gun barrel may bended in shape eventually as a result of the heavy weight (10+ pounds) exerted to the barrel.

Found mine on Ebay, about the same price (and free shipping). The only thing, when tightening it, it was popping out, I then made the "tooth" sharper and it now holds very tight!

It SHOULD be OK if you have a metal body and one piece metal barrel. If you're missing one of those or have neither - not a good idea.

If you're concerned why not get a rail mounted bipod and mount to the bottom rail.

Take a moment to do some research on this forum and you will immediately see that your assumption is the farthest thing away from being correct.
