M4 Selector Plate
Hey guys, I just have a quick question. How come some of the M4 selector plates have no metal plates at the end. Here is an example of one WITHOUT:

The reason why im asking is because my Classic Army M15A4 selector plate DOES NOT have a metal plate at the end |

It depends if your trigger switch and has an electrical safety. Most stock guns come with electrical safeties, but some aftermarket switches do not.
Basically if it has an electrical safety the switch contacts are not wired together and need that metal plate to complete the circuit as well as the trigger being pulled. If you have an aftermarket switch with no electrical safety, then the only safety is your physical trigger blocker. |
