AEGs: Best way to conceal external cables?
When I replaced my AEG handguards with one of those aftermarket fancy rail systems, I would not be to hide the power cables of my AEGs in my new rail systems anymore.
I want to hear your opinions/experience about the best way to hide the external power cables, fuse, batteries cables + connector? Last edited by zollen; July 21st, 2010 at 22:16.. |

I guess I will share my experiences. I put black tapes at the bottom of my rails for covering the cables, expose only the fuse and the connector. I also spray paint the connector to black.

Well, I guess the super ninja way of doing it is to disguise it as a tape switch like I did with an MP7 a while back, having it's battery in an external case.
Do you have a picture of your gun? I'm guessing AR but I could give better advice if I see the problem. |

Rear wire it and house the battery in your stock

Not always the best solution for weapon balance and a lot of people have PEQs so you might as well use them as battery boxes.
Besides, a rewiring job is more complicated than simple finishing like tucking a cable. He might also run a stock that's bleh with a rear-wired battery. |

Being in the middle of a rear wiring job at the moment I can vouch for it being a lot of work just to hide some cables. and GBBR's are great but your mags are ridiculously expensive.

ehh rear wiring ain't all that hard, I've done it so many times now that it's only a 15 minute job in Armalights.

Tucking a cable is still faster!

Why hide them? Hang decorative items from them sorta like a Christmas tree, that way, when the opfor is coming at you, they will be dazzled with shiny things and give you the upper hand.
Or you could just get wire wrap and a PEQ box.

Or as been said; Rewire to the back and buy a battery stock like the g&p crane stock

I prefer a bathtub full of sulferic acid. Wait, I think I misread the thread title.

+1 for rear wiring. You can fit a lot more juice in a stock battery than those crappy mini batteries (unless you're running a LiPo)
