My Battery - 9.6V 2000maH

I'm charging my battery for the second time now and it seems to be getting quite hot. The first time I charged it, it was pretty hot. I've read somewhere that the battery should be luke warm after a full charge, but like it was hot.

So far maybe it's like half way charged, I've been charging it at 0.9A and it's starting to get hot. Like going above the "warm" point.

Is this normal?

The first charge was on a different charger than this one I'm using. I'm using a Universal Smart Charger from AirsoftParts.ca. The first charge was charged using a charger called "X-Charger" from a surplus type store.

-EDIT: Ok the battery is full-charged now. The end result is the battery feels more than "warm / luke warm". I would describe it as hot but not burning your hand hot. And one side of it feels more hot than the other side (knumb-chuck battery), I'm thinking this could be because I maybe used half the charge in the game I played so one side needed more charging than the other? Maybe wrong.

My batteries can get warm after a charge. Some batteries get hot.

If it's getting too hot to handle, that's bad. That being said, I once charged a 4000mAh (or 5000mAh can't remember) large cell battery at 3A, and it got hot to the point of not being able to hold it. It didn't seem to cause any damage, however it's not a good idea.

I've always been told if it gets too hot for you to hold for ~20-30 seconds, then it's bad.

Otherwise, I believe it should be fine.

Ok then I don't think I have an issue then. I can hold it no problem but it is hot none the less. Hotter than luke-warm. Is this is normal then I won't be worried.

Btw I edited my first post.
