Hm

If im up to date on Canadian law, you can bring accessories into Canada, but not actual airsoft guns...or you need to declare it. Not sure, maybe one of the Canadian airsofters will know

I would ship it personally, although not prohibited you might get much more acquainted with airport security if you have strange items in your luggage.

i just read the thread but i dont really understand. does it mean that i have to show the customs officers the eotech and tell them that its for airsoft and why i brought it over and if i just zip my mouth and leave it in my bag it will be confiscated if found? And by ship u mean mail right? sry i still new to airsoft and i have quite alot of questions to ask.

Either declare it when going through customs and take the chance that you might raise suspicions, or pay a couple of dollars and ship it.

I'd go with option 2.

Yes, you can ship it.
"Examples of things you CAN import:
Magazines for AEGs and GBBs without fake cartridges
Outer barrels for most guns
Inner barrels of any type
Handgun slides
Flash suppressors
Scopes, red dot sights, iron sights, lasers
Rail systems and scope mounts
Springs, bushings, gears, pistons, or other gearbox parts
Batteries, BBs, loading tools
Helmets, goggles, body armor, tactical vests, camouflage"
So i believe you can ship it, if you're still unsure, call the border guys up and see. if you cant ship it, ask if you can bring across with you, and declare it

That weapon is very good. But for beginners? Not so much. "Newbie" players tend to start out with Springers/AEGs w/pistols. It's not that GGBs arent for newbies, its just that ive found its usually more experienced airsofters that use those types of guns, as there is more care that needs to be taken into account, and that there are parts that can break easier since there are more parts internally. The SCAR-1 GBB is an excellent rifle to have down the road, so I would get it if i could. Id start off with say a M15A4 to get used to an assault rifle of that variant (meaning the SCAR 1). Learn how to maintain/repair/upgrade before you really try anything.
And as a reminder, this is my opinion. I find that experienced veterans use GBBs (if at all) more often/better than newbies

Well there's also the factor it's pain to fix if it breaks, since it's blow back, there are more pieces that can break

well, speaking on experience, i have brought back so many hong kong airsoft accesories i cant count. i think youll be okay rest assured. just dont fill your entire luggage with airsoft gear it will have a higher chance of being noticed. it will look like you are trying to buy and sell illegally.
