switching in a 7.2v in place of a 8.4v battery

I have this aftermath kraken special edition AK-47 airsoft gun and its battery broken. now i have this 7.2v rc battery. im wondering if a 7.2v rc battery will work in a gun that originally uses a 8.4v. and if so, what effects will it have on the motor and gears. how long will a 7.2v battery last when used?

Slower rate of fire. Possibly won't turn over the spring if the spring is too strong.
