What do I do with the bolt catch on M4?

I tried posting this is FAQ but it wouldn't let me so here it is.

I have a G&G M4. What do I do with the bolt catch? It is just so annoying hearing the damn thing wobble whenever I move or shoot. It will NOT lock back when I push the damn thing upwards. What can I do about it? Does it even do anything?

On an AEG (Well, most anyway) The bolt catch does nothing, its just for show.

Are you familiar with disassembly? Its just something that drops down into a slot, and in the rare case they are held in by a pin, if anything you could just glue it in place, or just remove it as a whole.

On my M4, the bottom of the bolt catch channel is solid, I just superglued a small spring to the bottom of the catch itself to hold it tight against the upper, no more rattle.

Ha. I just lose mine in disassembly then pretend I did it on purpose so it's not sitting on the bench making me want to reinstall it.

Hah, I also solved that nuisance by superglue a thin peice of aluminum or plastic on the inside of the receiver behind the channel, this keeps the catch from falling out.

Meh. Don't care. Performance over aesthetics! Now if I could just afford to run .3's all the time...
