That kit is not even for your gun.
Use the search button at the top here. There is a lot of good threads about upgrading a sniper rifle. Why would you want to increase FPS on a gun that already shoots too hot for most game? |

Check the end of the piston.
That piston is made for VSR-10 and it's clone. I don't care what the title or the page says, unless you have a VSR-10 (which looks like a Remington M700 civilian), that kit won't work. It might fit but the air leak around the head will be horrible and that is if you manage to have the piston lock at the back. If you check the picture, the rear of the piston is made 45deg angled. That is because the TM VSR-10 was built to have a lighter trigger pull, but also to break when you install a spring above 330fps (1J). If the picture is what is sold, that is for the VSR-10 and it's clone, which if I recall correctly is named MB02 at Well -> http://www.airsplat.com/Items/AR-WELL-MB02-BK.htm I had and upgraded two Maruzen APS-2 Type 96, one APS-2 SV and 3 TM-VSR-10 or clones. On top of that, I also converted a WELL G22 from the original useless gaz bolt to spring and did a complete upgrade with Modify parts for a Well L96 (Also named Warrior 1 depending on the rebrand). I tell you that the bore-up bolts for VSR-10 and the "E-zy" series of parts from PDI are not that good, and that you will have issues with the trigger box breaking at the front top where the pivot pin is for the first sear on your gun. I can also tell you to replace the original screw at the rear of the bolt carrier with a 6mm bolt you can buy in most hardware store. So if you still want to waste your money, you can order it. It is basically a cheaper version of the PSS10 piston system made by Prometheus. Your original question was if this is a good kit. Answer is no, and it won't even work with your gun. You should buy 3 parts, PSS2 3 element piston for APS-2/T96 (it is purple, with a steel sear catch and aluminium body to keep is light), PSS2 Piston head for APS-2/T96 (it is red and looks like a rubber cap) and PSS2 Spring guide for APS-2/T96. Use the 7mm spring guide rod (the small one), thread lock is in place with blue thread lock and use the original spring from your gun. It should give you a consistent 500-520fps with a light pull. That spring is called "magic spring" by people that have used aftermarket springs because it shoots a lot hotter than what the pull suggests. |

depends if you want to stay with the accutrigger or if you want to upgrade to zero or v trigger. if staying with stock trigger and going with a harder spring then yes, buy the sear. if you want a better trigger assembly like the zero trigger or v trigger, then no.

Stock barrel is most likely 6.08 or 6.10.
The stock sear are not worth upgrading. It's not the sear that break, it's the trigger box itself that explodes and there is no replacement for that. Either lower the FPS with a softer spring or run it until it dies and change the trigger. At least unlike the VSR-10, you can install a V-Trigger or Zero Trigger on the stock piston system. |

I've had excellent performance with my PDI 6.01 tightbore barrel at further ranges more so than my Prometheus 6.03. My engangement distances for the games I go to now are a bit restrictive until summer comes along, so I keep the 6.03 in. I've had better overall groupings with the 6.03 at min. engagement distances, but both overall are great barrels and it all depends on what you want for your gun. Some people swear by 6.05, some 6.03, and some 6.01. I tried em all and found it's all based on what internals you've got as well as play style preference. With my insane setup a man sized target can be hit with all three sizes of barrels at 150 feet so no big deal with me.
