"Airsoft Innovations" Impact Grenade: Slight leak?
Now, the reason I am posting this in the newbie tank is because my knowledge of gas operated Airsoft items is very, very small.
Recently, I have purchased an Impact grenade. I love the little thing, but I have noticed that after I fill it, there is a audiable hissing noise. Which then gets worse once the pin is pulled. Is it possible all it is doing is venting excess gas? I don't think it is supposed to vent gas once the pin is pulled, because in the video demo they use it as a trap where it is propped on a door handle for a lengthy period of time. Any help or feedback is apprecated. ~Angry

Have you been applying tornado grenade oil?
Where is it leaking from? |

Yes the oil is important..also make sure you silicone the O rings at each end of the stem...there isn't a lot of moving parts in an impact grenade so either the seals are too dry(or screwed) or your not seating the pin assembly properly.

Hey bud, don't skimp on the oil! But when I recieved mine the fill valve was a bit sticky and leaked a little. I put the propane adapter in again and gave it a little shimmy and haven't had a problem since.

If the leak gets louder when you pull the pin I suspect that your upper seal is damaged or dirty. This seal is the one on the shuttle where the pin pokes into the steel insert.
Did your grenade always leak from day 1?

I suspect that your shuttle may be defective. We have had a few which got slightly overdrilled which resulted in a leak at the steel insert in the shuttle. Send an email to: exceptions@gungas.com describing this problem. One of my guys should arrange a replacement shuttle which should fix this problem.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
