NEW to airsoft!

Hey guys, title pretty much says it all.. i'm a noob! First things first, i'm currently looking into getting age verified and hopefully i will get that done within the next week or two. I live in Newmarket, Ontario (half hr north of Toronto) was wondering if there are any noob friendly games held around here, ill drive to Barrie or Toronto if i have to, i did manage to look in the events/game schedule for Ontario didn't find much that seemed "noob friendly". thanks a lot everyone!

There is a game section on this forum. Select your province and see all the events.

Now stop asking for a spoon feeding. If you're old enough to play airsoft, you're old enough to do a little research.

Now I'm going to bed!

Deadpool, I think this is the kind of player we want. At least he's looked at the Games and Events section and knows about the AV stuff for this forum.

Aviator: Don't worry, most people are pretty friendly at games and stuff as long as you seem to be a good guy. What that entails I can't tell you but if you just give off that good vibe and attempt to learn (on your own as well as asking when it's appropriate) then you'll have no problems.

The key operating word there is when appropriate. Always ask about safety, never assume (hell even in a workplace whatever occupation it is always ask never assume, I heard that one time someone almost fell through a hole in a data centres mezzanine once).

As well you don't have to be totally prepared but try to be as prepared as possible. BDU's are cheap and any surplus store will sell them, eyewear can be rented if it's a paintball venue but always think about buying your own (I think the consensus is that the best "starter" goggles are the JT Spectra or Flex and they'll work at any venue because they're paintball rated (and as such comply with most paintball fields' insurance)).

Also NEVER EVER ask something to reinforce some notion. A lot of minors come onto this forum and do that. Asking something or other and not wanting to budge that their notion is wrong or bad, they only want their opinion reinforced. It shouldn't be a problem with you judging by the way you type but I just thought I'd throw that out. Ask to learn not to reinforce some wrong notion. It's OK to ask "Is ______ good or bad?" (search first) but ask to see whether or not it actually is good or bad and be willing to change your opinions if a concise and logical answer is given. There is a lot of crap floating around and people who seem to be "experts in the field" yet asked some really retarded question a few days ago so also be able to distill what information is good or bad.

did you talk to any of the barrie players?
did you meet any of the players?
have you been to a game?
Do you know of how the barrie community runs?
how old are you?
did you meet the barrie age verifier?
Did you even think about creating a thread for input about this before making your website?
the barrie community does quite well for itself without your website.

I've only recently started out as well and have yet to run into anyone who has made me feel like a nood\b or had no time to help out or explain anything. If you ever have the chance, head out to Wasaga Paintball there arre always a great bunch of players out there and its a great time. There has also been a group from Adrenaline Paintbal in London that ahve shown up and are always helpful to new players with questions or insight.
Remember there are no stupid questions only stupid people

make sure somebody is hosting a game there first otherwise you'll run into nothing but paintballers.
