Box mag electric motor fried
OK so i got a used MK43 the other day, fill it up, take it on hte field, and it feeds for about 50 shots, then nothing, so I replace the battery, it fires another 100 or so shots, then stops again; and this time I couldnt get it to feed anymore at all
I take the winding mechanism out, and even without BBs in it and no resistance, the winder would only make a few revolutions before stopping again, so I assume the issue must be the motor, because the gears on their own turn freely anyways this is the motor I've been told works best: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=15318 but does anybody know if theres a place with this motor, or an equivalent motor available in canada? preferably the GTA? I need the gun for a game this weekend and cant wait for international shipping, I did a quick google and nothing popped out |

Any local hobby shop/rc shop will sell one. The definite place to buy one is advanced hobby on sheppard in between kennedy and midland, use to get all my RC stuff from there until they decided to open another store closer to me. And if all else fails check pmall.
And I also have a couple of these at home, purchased from advanced. It's marked on googlemaps just go to sheppard in between kennedy and midland and it pops up. Last edited by sushicake; May 3rd, 2011 at 10:49.. |

seems there is another issue, I replaced the motor with an RC helicopter motor, and now it will spin for about 5-10 seconds then stop, and then ill have to turn it off and wait 30 seconds before it will run again, and this is with NO BBs in it

Have you tried running the motor directly plugged with the battery?

do you mean out of the winding mechanism? or battery to motor witout hte switch and connectors? because I tried both, the motor runs fine without the winder, and it still runs down with the battery direclty hooked to the motor
i should mention as well htat there is no unusual overheating, and the longer i leave it sitting, the longer it runs before it stops, which would lead me to say its a low battery, but I've tried 3 different batteries now, so I cant say its that
