M14 brand types
Guys just a quick question. What's the main differences in the G&G m14's and the TM ones? Is it just the mags?
Has anyone done a compatibly study on airsoft guns? A list of parts which fit what guns would be awesome. Eg. Band X ak's are compatible with bands Y and Z's mags. |

For M14, go TM to GTFO.
Everyone will tell you the same. TM clones are all garbage and will fall apart on you in no time. CA / G&G have a proprietary design, making after-market parts and mags extremely difficult to get. The G&G is basically crap. The CA is good, but again, lack of compatibility and aftermarket parts make it a poor choice. So as I said, it's TM or GTFO for an AEG. If you want gas, then WE is the way to go.

they are completely different, other then the fact that when assembled they both look like M14's ... alot of the G&G/CA is propietary .. they do use a few V2/3 parts inside the gearbox...
whereas the TM and the clones, ACM, kart, cyma, echo1 ... 85% of the parts labeled M14 are for them (although Kart uses a V7 gearbox with alot of V2/3 parts inside that doesn't cross to TM compatible guts) and to really blow your mind... then you add in ARES, STAR ... I can't remember if theres another one... but they went sorta completely their own way too ... all of this info and much much much more, is available via the search function of the forums (or that grand thing known as the interweb)

If you want an M14, TM.
If you are on a budget and want to upgrade EVERYTHING anyways, Cyma. No other clones are actually 100% compatible. Most do mix and match with V2/V3 parts and some even have completely new/proprietary parts. |
