Evike shipping problems.

Hi there, not sure if any of you have run across this or not but I needed to vent.

I ordered 2 springs from Evike on April 22 and they were only able to ship me a partial order of 1 spring as the other was not in stock. I was ok with that and received it no problem.

Today I ordered a new motor for my aeg and called them asking if they could ship out my other spring that is now in stock and put my motor with it so I don't have to pay for shipping twice. The person I talked to apologized to me saying that they don't combine orders even to the same place it's going.

I explained to him that that policy is total garbage and all it is doing is making your customers pay you more for shipping. They charged me 20$ to ship 2 small springs which seems ludacris but now I have to pay them even more to have my spring and motor that will more than likely ship out the same day, in 2 different packages.

I guess using common sense isn't used as much as I had hoped.

Evike is hit and miss. YMMV, but if it is important, seek out a local vendor. Evike in my experience doesn't really give a tinkers damn about Canadian customers, and you can vent your spleen on ASC all you want about it, they're never going to change.

I think there's a thread dedicated to Evike horror stories.

Solution: avoid them like the plague.

Should have an automatic PHPBB chunk of code that detects the word "Evike" and links it to that thread - save everyone a lot of time...

Lmao...Ya i posted on my brothers account by accident.

Anyways the only reason I resorted to Evike is because Toronto airsoft/Velocity arms and Airsoft parts didn't have any of the medium shaft motors I needed. The 2 of them are my prime suppliers and are awesome.

I let Evike know that it was rediculous and I won't be buying from them again. The way they do it is retarded. I had to pay for my product, then wait 1-3 business days for them to get me an international shipping quote. I called them to see if they could do it over the phone and said "no", we don't do that. It says on their website to call or email for shipping quote...wtf. Takes so fukin long to get anything done with them, POS.

I once tried to ship something from evike. I emailed them first to get a shipping quote, and they replied that a 4 pound package would cost $120 to ship. I think that their shipping is a scam.

what if one doesn't have a spleen? Way to leave some of us out!

But yah Evike shipping is horrid. I am pretty sure they charge us extra to cover the free shipping they give in the US.

Get a US address if you are going to be ordering lots from them and just have it shipped from there, it will save cash and you will get your parts alot faster.

A scam would imply forethought - I don't think thats necessarily the case. I know BB Bastard stuff is rudiculous to ship to the US. As soon as you cross and Canadian US border, shipping companies charge ridiculous, duties come in play, dollar exchange rates come in - its a giant hassle. I think they've simply given up on solving the problem selling and shipping to Canadians as many US retailers have. They can afford to ignore us when they have the whole of the US to sell to.

I ordered BBs from a website called pyramid air in the US, the shipping was $12 and it arrived in two days. the package weighed about 3 pounds. The shipping industry is very confusing to me.

Shipping from the states is actually pretty cheap... (from 10-15$ usually)

but the problem is... in the USA, all companies use UPS as a carrier, since its cheap, fast and they collect the packages for them at the warehouse....
while with USPS Intl. shipping, they have to drive to the post office, and fill some papers... that's why most retailers dont like shipping with USPS, and will charge "labor time/extra fees" for it...

its stupid I know... but that's how it works over there...
