Ares tavor or lcs l85

I have decided I want a new bullpup rifle and after scoping the forums here these seem to be the 2 that look most appealing to me.

I have limited experience with bullpup designs aside from what I have read on here.

I will be playing outside so the LCS seems pretty cool with the adjustable spring. From what I read the ares will have a lower fps rating which will affect range.

What do you guys think? I am completely torn.

ares may have a lower FPS but with my experience on ares guns they have very good hop ups. I remember someone at one of our games that had a l85 and he wanted to get rid of it because of all the issues he was having.

personally I like the tavor more, its more pointable and doesn't look like a british brick.
Curious but have you looked at the G&G fn2000 or realsword type 97?

I have picked both up and they feel weird to me. Both the f2000 and type 97 were a little odd to me, while the tavor and l85 were more comfortable.

I have also heard some bad reviews of the f2000.

Fair enough I havn't read any of the G&G reviews. I did try out.... umm... the other brand of them and it wasn't bad but I can't speak for actual long term use.

But yah bull pups are def something that you have to have the right one. I have owned a fa-mas and p90, the fa-mas was gone along time ago because I found it odd to use...

What kind of kit are you building? or is it not important to match stuff?

I love my ics l85, but it's heavy as airsoft guns go, so keep that in mind. The fn2000 is badass too, but I've heard a lot of complaints about mag compatability...

I dont really have a kit that I am setting up. I usually just prefer to find a gun I like then build around that. I haven't done any milsim I just play fun games with friends.

I know the l85 can take dboys m4 mags (which I have) does anyone know if the ares takes them as well?

With respect to the weight I think both are comparable when I looked at them, and were well within reason for me (I am a pretty big guy)

Tavor can quick swing swap as well.

ARES can take any M4 mag you throw into it, I use to run PMAGS in my old one and they fit beautifully and those normally have issues with certain gun brands.

So it's really up to you which gun you wanna get, both have pros and cons.

I've been in the same predicament as you for a while on. If I were u I would probably choose the Type 97b. Anyway. Have you considered the Classic army Aug. Its a pretty nice rifle in my opinion.

I tried a TM aug and hated it. The balance to me was way off. I assume that the CA one is in the same boat or at least similar.

I think its more a matter of personal preference. I handled both, I too was thinking of getting 1 or the other but I ended up taking a wait and see approach for WE's P90 GBB.

My thoughts; I liked the L85. Its not the prettiest or tacticool bullpup around but I liked the feel. Like either rifle, it is back heavy but the positioning of the grip was perfect for me at least to balance out the weight. My main complaint is the mag release and right handed users only (I am primarily a right hander).
The TAR21 on the other hand was everything, to me at least, what the L85 wasn't; back heavy but the grip felt a bit too far forward for me to comfortably wield. Its a lighter gun at least but I couldn't find the proper balance. Iron sights on this thing sucks.

Why don't you wait till the WE L85A2s are in country?
