VFC SCAR-L Problem
I have a VFC SCAR-L, the problem I am having is that when I move the selector from safe to semi or auto the saftey does always release. Sometimes cycling the bolt will allow the gun to fire and sometime just flipping the switch will eventually get it to fire. What I am wondering is if this problem could be the selector is stripped or similar or would it be something in the gearbox that would be causing this. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks for your time.

The safety mechanism is rubbing against the body. the Left side of the gear box where the safety arm if you will, is getting pinched to the lower receiver, seen this before,

Its seems you are correct. The selector on the left hand side (and I am left handed, so the one I use) seems to be freefloating and can move around making it hit and miss on working properly. I have a stripped screw that is preventing me from removing the gearbox to fix. I will let you know what I find out when I get that screw out.

So I got my screw out and removed the gearbox. The selector was not sitting correctly, just needed a little grease and put back together. Works good so far.
