the reinforced part 66 will last a good while on the closed bolt system. Open bolt it won't though. you can google tsc scar hinge part 66 and it will show you retailers that sell it. And deadlydayne is a user on this forum.

Did going to the open bolt fix your accuracy issues? Since the open bolt kit come with a new trigger box is it cost effective to just switch to open bolt rather then to just upgrade the AWSS trigger parts? |

The open bolt did fix all my accuracy issues. It now shoots far and somewhat consistent. I put an ratech m14 precision inner barrel in so that may have also contributed to the accuracy. The hop up is a different design. In my opinion it is VERY cost effective to switch to open bolt. You get a new hop up, a new bolt catch, a new inner barrel, a new flash hider, a new bolt, and most importantly a new trigger group. All for about 70 bucks plus shipping. To order those parts separately would much much more expensive. I am actually planning on getting a second open bolt kit just in case something goes awry during a game. Just plop in a new trigger group and it's back in action.
Before you go open bolt, understand that you will need a tsc part 66 and a deadlydayne part 27. other wise you have a wallhanger. this is where the cost effective bit loses it's logic. But I love the open bolt too much to go back. side notes: the trigger group that comes with the open bolt kit is the same shitty pot metal one that comes with the we scar by default. The trigger group housing is modified slightly, All the ra tech steel upgrade parts still however fit into the new style of trigger group housing. I made a youtube video tutorial for switching the scar to open bolt. -all your magazines feed lips need to be changed. it's a couple dollars per mag.

for the RATECH steel parts, do you mean: http://en.ratech.com.tw/product/html...detail_024.php The link doesn't state that it's compatible with the SCAR and I think I remember seeing somebody post (not sure if its this forum or another) that the trigger for AR-15s don't work with the SCAR trigger box? |

I've got a WE PDW, and it's better than my Inokatsu M4. The Ino looks and feels better, but in terms of performance and reliability, the WE wins it hands down.

http://airsoftbuddy.com/index_ecat.php?cPath=75 this is where I got mine. Quote:
Rag-we-23 and 24 will both fit into the scar except for the trigger. The trigger is too short. If you email ra tech, they claim the trigger does fit. But I know first hand that it doesn't. It is for the we m4 only. There is no steel trigger for the scar. You have to keep replacing them as they wear out. I hinted at deadlydanyne to make one but he's a busy man. If your planning to go open bolt do not get rag-we-25 as the housing is different.

Is just a little more expensive by a couple of bucks but way cheaper on shipping. At redwolf for me I would save $10 just because of shipping. |

Just picked up one of these slings after not really finding anything in the airsoft shops that I liked.
Little more expensive than a magpul sling but well worth it. Top quality stuff and excellent customer service. Loads of extra adapters that you can buy so you can fit it to any other weapon without much hassel. Buy the E-Rush model because it comes with the ring already in the sling that makes it easy to go right from two point to single point. The E-RUSH Sling Kit is the Enhanced Rapid Change version of the URBAN-SENTRY Hybrid Sling. The Urban Sentry Hybrid is also a two point to single point but to make it a single you have to change out one of the attachments on the sling. The E-Rush you don't have to it already has it. I bought the Urban Sentry with the rapid change adapter not knowing the E-Rush already comes with it in the kit. It was only $3 extra so not a big deal. http://www.urbanertslings.com/eslbyurtasl1.html Last edited by KrashRider; June 16th, 2011 at 23:52.. |
