Anything is possible, like paragraphing and fragmentation so we have an easier time reading what you're trying to say.

But yeah, I'm looking to build an M76 Zastava DMR rifle at some point.

Get AV'ed, then you can buy any gun/parts you want in the retailer section.
Apart from that - I've never built a gun but I have modded my gun. It's harder than it looks. I would suggest a gun doctor like NinjaenShorts.

I'm building a custom RPK currently. Custom guns cost just as much sometimes even more than pre built guns. Most of the cost is either in a Donner gun/ aftermarket metal body. Your best bet for a really nice AKMS/ AKS-47 is to save up for a all steel Type 56-1 it may sound expensive but it will last alot longer and you will be pleased with the external and internal quality.

Well $150-200 for an metal AKS-47 Reciever ( might be able to get a plastic one on classifieds) $150-200 on a AK platform to build said gun from.

you might be able to save a bit of money if you manage to buy a AK-47 front end, mechbox and bolt/ dustcover separately on the classifieds)
If you do not buy a wood kit and instead use plastic furniture you save another $100.

If you are lucky you may be able to build an AKS-47 for 200-250$. I built a plastic AKS-47 on the cheap for around $250 2-3 years ago.

You will quickly find out that a lower end parts will start to give you problems the folding stock kept falling apart the mechbox down quickly. Apparently it was worse then a CYMA mechbox.

If a $300 Asia electric gun is too much maybe you should just Buy a Kraken AK-47 full stock ( CYMA AK-47) and paint it black or a Beta Spetz they seem to go for around 200$ and up on many retailers.

Then airsoft isn't for you. It's an expensive hobby/sport.

Just like everything else in life, quality is measured by cost.

Well said I've built quite a few custom AKs and they cost just as much as prebuilt ones. The only difference Better Receiver material especially with kings arm receivers aluminum over pot metal.

so my best bet would be to go with something like this http://www.hitguns.com/Cyma-AK47-S-M...m028s-a47s.htm ?But even then this 160$ gunn could probably go for double here right?

Its only expensive when your first starting out getting your stuff then after that all your paying for is the odd repair, admission and bb's a lot cheaper then paintball.
