Battery overheating

Hello i'm brand new to airsoft and i have baught a few guns first of all i have a few problems. the first problem is i have a Thompson M1A1 cybergun and it had a drum mag i baught a Tokyo Marui Straight mag but it wont feed the BB's


my second problem is very frustrating i baught a brand new G&G mp5 blowback and the darn thing just cooks my battety the batterys. The sales guy suggested a GP NIMH 3300 1.2 volt x8 numchuck Battery. ive fully charged the battery and once i went to test fire the gun the battery got super hot in like a matter of 1 min after shooting like 5 rounds then after that i wouldnt fire at all ? :banghead:

if anyone knows how to fix these issues id be very thankfull.

Your cybergun M1A1 is probably not compatible with tokyo marui mags
And it sounds like there is a short in the wiring on your G&G MP5, it needs to be corrected by a gundoc.

so how do i fix this wiring issue do i need to take apart the whole AEG.

Yes you do. Take it to your local gundoc or have someone that knows how to work on it.

And the Thompson Mag dose feed but it only shoots like 5-4 bullets then stops. do u think silcone lube would fix it

I confirm that TM mags are compatible in Cybergun Tommy gun.

Silly oil can help with the feeding but it could also be the bb retainer. It could be a tad too long and the hop up is not pushing it in enough. File a bit at a time and test. Don't over do it or you'll just trash that mag.

is the G&G a Max? .. is the stock spring still in it? ... has the motor height been adjusted? ... and ofcourse possible wiring problems ...

Update I fixed the Thompson mag with some Silicone Lube.

The Mp5 has the stock spring and the motor height hasnt been adjusted. the wires havnt been touched. Im just gunna wait and bring it back to the army surplus and see what he can do he seemed to know what hes talking about. And as for the spring he said i would need to buy a new spring is this true he says stock spring will explode the motor or something along that line.

Chrono the MP5. If it's shooting over 400 fps, then downgrade the spring with an M100 or M110. Most stock gearboxes will die with extended use at velocities of 430+ fps (which seems to be what most imports come in at), unless the gearbox is heavily reinforces externally and internally.

If you're lucky, the gun came with a spare spring in the box. Install that and you should be gold.
