Vsr - 10 bolt slipping

Well I have been using this gun that I got for awhile now but just yesterday the bolt wouldnt cock the gun. I can bring it back but it slips and doesn't end up cocking the gun. I really am not very experienced so I don't want to try and disassemble the gun. Any ideas on what would cause this problem?

-thanks for any answers

Let me guess, first gun?

Anyway, If its one of those cheap ACM/TSD/Whatever VSR's you buy off of Buyairsoft.

Simple fix: Replace the spring to something that isn't stupid, like whats stock on those things. Basically, the plastic piston is literally flexing over the sear, due to the strength of the spring. they usually run those things around 400 - 450fps stock, you can get as good as performance, or better if you install a 350-370fps spring, allows more stability and you're not rattling your gun apart with each cock and shot.

In a more worse case scenario, it could be that the sear has been chewed down. Which won't be surprising, Cheap VSR's are made out of 'metal' thats more comparable to anal seepage than anything else. Open up your gun (Plenty of tutorials online, and the gun is as simple as can be.) and see if you notice any damaged bits, or whatever. Online guides will be able to help point it out.

If you have a cheap clone, your piston is worn down and your second sear is probably broken.

If you have a genuine TM, then maybe that 450 fps spring was not a good idea.

In either case you should upgrade to a V-Trigger or Zero Trigger.

But a cheaper alternative is to buy Deepfire's upgraded sears and an aluminium 3-parts piston.
