If you dial your hopup correctly, it will not fly up.
Use heavier weight BB's (.25's atleast, .28 or .3's are your friends) BB Bastard, Madbull, etc.. good quality ones. Most games welcome new comers all the time, just come with open ears and a willingness to learn everything. Post up in the game thread asking if anyone has room for +1 in their vehicle. Usually you can bribe most people with timmies or a bit of gas money.

You'll have to zero it at the field then. Fire off some rounds and adjust the hop up to make them fly as far as possible before flying upwards, then tweak it back a bit to let them fly as far as possible then drop. Once you have that set, pick a target about 100ft away and dial in your scope to where the BBs hit where you are aiming. Then you should be good, but know that you will have to compensate for elevation and windage by eye when playing. And I wouldn't recommend anything lower than .28g BBs. Heavier is always better, as long as you learn how your gun shoots and how to compensate to get rounds on target.
BTW, if you don't use hop up, say you have it set at full off, then your BBs will roll out the end of the barrel once loaded. The hop up nub keeps them in place until you shoot. If you dial it in for minimum setting, even 0.20g BBs will drop within 40-60ft. You NEED to set your hop up and use it, there is no "Don't use it because I don't want them flying upwards" in this, otherwise you'll frustrate yourself into thinking others have upgraded guns because they can hit you from 150ft away and you can't even get past the 60ft mark. Learn the gun, learn the ballistics of the BBs you are using, learn to shoot and move well, and pay attention to the BBs behavior during flight. You bought a bolt action sniper rifle for a reason, time to upgrade and tune the player to let the rifle do what it's designed to do. Last edited by CDN_Stalker; November 5th, 2011 at 14:18.. |

No problem. And didn't get a notification of a message, nor is there one in there now (and I have room, so it's not full).

are you just holding your gun or do you have it on a rest, even if you have a bi-pod on it you want to have completely mobilized so that you don't have to lift it to make the shot, just pull the trigger and print off a target to zero in and tape it to a box so it wont move with every shot, take a shot go mark it off with a marker then repeat for every shot
for a rest u can use bean bags or sand bags also if u can take the shots in the longest hall in your apartment

You can try fixing it by placing it on big pillows with stock between two (full) cans (I would use beer cans because of beer, you know ).

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

What I do if it's really off it get a trident gum package, and cut up the cardboard to use as spacers. Works for left, right and up and down. But only works for down if you have 2 scope mount rings.

One of the reasons he's having trouble is because he's using 0.20g BBs, unsure the distance he tried zeroing it that it took 2000 rounds....
