I use the imax b6. hell they go on ebay shipped for 30 ish bucks

I'd lean highly on your motor being the issue. And I've never heard of guns that couldnt be turned over on less than a 9.6 maybe.. but I doubt it's your batteries.

An imax b6 will extend the life of your batteries big time!

Thank you, I really should get it to a Gun Doc. I love to tinker and tear things apart but, I've got too much cash invested into it to F&(% it up.

Is there anyway to test the gun to see if it's the problem? I have lots of tools and a garage to work in.
Did you buy the gun from a local dealer? If so, bring the battery to them and test it on one of their guns. If the problem persists, then he owns you a new battery. We call that "customer service".

Like Takagari said, you can get the Imax on ebay for $30.

Focus on a good performing gun first.

Could be that your gun has a really bad shim job, or like was said a bad motor. It sounds like NO battery really works on it? If that's the case then you can nail the problem down to the gun, not batteries.

The first thing Jcotter needs to do is determine if the battery is the issue before cracking open the mech box. So far we know he is using a junky charger to begin with. A quick test of that Lipo in another gun will determine the next step.

He has a VFC, its auto shimming.

Auto shimming? WTF is that?

Looked it up, seems like the only the spur gear is "auto-shimmed" which means there's a spring on one side...doesn't seem too great to me.

auto shimming is a terrible idea, but I don't think it would cause problems other than preventing you from properly shimming the gun

Correct only spur gear auto shimmed. The rest have shims.

I three VFC and work great out of the box.

Got three VFC's and they work great. If I want to, just remove the spring and replace it with a custom spacer and shim it. But there is no need since it works.
