On a slightly separate note, can a MOSFET be used in any gearbox, or only the ones they're designed for? Because I've got a V1 gearbox I want to amp up with a 9.6v.

Need more sideways lipo room!
I'm tempted to follow a friends idea and run the battery bag on the side and use a CTR/PRS stock.

The discreet mosfets and trigger replacements are gearbox version specific. So long as you can find the room any simple mosfet would do

I haven't had any problems However 22.2v 5,000mah 100C bad idea leave those for the RC choppers and boats where they belong

Actually you can do a UBR mod to a PRS stock and fit a really long buffer tube lipo in there. It was my plan before I saw I could mod a marine stock lol
