Barrel extension

I have JG HK416 CQB so it looks like this:

but for some outdoor play i would not mind the longer barrel looks of an HK416 like this:

So my questions:

1) Is there an essay way of getting that look with an outer barrel extension or sth like that? If i take of the flash hider the end of the stock barrel is threaded so i could just attach sth? yes/no?
2) Does it effect the performance of the gun at all?

-------
Not related question:

3) Anybody know a good video walk through of how to change the spring on a JG416 (newest version)

Cheers.

1) Buy a really long flash hider, or get a new outer barrel, some people may make outer barrel extensions
2) It absolutely doesn't make any difference to performance, so why do it anyway

And MaciekA will inform you of a site better than mechbox.com to learn how to work on mechboxes

If you match it with a new inner barrel there is a theoretical increase in accuracy but i dont know if it would be measurable. I know they make barrel extensions though because one came on my masada.

Imo get a good tightbore that fits your current setup, get a shredder hopup and call it a day.

Madbull does a 2" extension. I saw on some website 2.5" 4" and 9" extension but cant remember where. Dont forget that you will need a longer inner barrel as well.

And http://www.youtube.com/user/Mechbox6mm for the spring change

If you want JUST the outter barrel extension, WE makes both a 14mm - AND + version. Plus there's several ACM extensions to take your gun from the CQBR look to the 14.5 carbine look.

Velocity arms has both the ACM one, thread adaptors and the WE extension.

If you want to extend the inner barrel for accuracy, don't go tighter than 6.04/6.03. It should increase your grouping a little, but not much. A properly set hop-up with a good air seal and bucking is your best shot at BB stability. Also a the tighter the bore, you may get an increase in your FPS. So watch out for that.
