Ares AR-006 (G36) motor issue?

Hello,

I just got a new G36 from Ares and I've noticed strange issues out of the box. I'm completely new with AEG's and have no idea what I'm doing. That's my first problem. This is also my first post. I just spent all of my vacation money on clothes (love it), and a sidearm, so I'm officially ready to meet everyone and hit the field. I met Armyissue and he's going to verify my age. Great place so far!

Here's what I'm noticing with the G36:
- Out of the box, the motor required adjusting. Three full turns to the right which seems like a lot, before it would turn over. I don't know anything about motor adjustment and I'm looking into it now.
- At first it was working fine, but the wires and motor will get hot after a short period, which makes me think the motor adjustments I made are making it work too hard.
- Currently, the gun barely fires even without the clip attached. It will feel like the motor isn't doing anything when the trigger is pulled, until I adjust the motor screw, but even so it will not be perfect. It feels like a short, but I'm convinced it's something with the motor because of my uneducated adjustments.

EDIT: I can see now it can be a bunch of problems, maybe this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StyNu...%AD%C2%ADlated

I'll take it apart and see what I find, but I'll probably leave it for someone when I come out in person.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I doubt it's a trigger lock as you can just go into full auto to get out. The RS SVD doesn't have full auto so that switch is needed. But your gun does sound like it's low on power. Did you try a different battery? Most stock ones are shit or it might not have a full charge. Turning the motor height too high will cause the gears to bind and making everything slower if not done right. Lower the motor and try a different battery.
