Tokyo Marui G18C Filling Issue

Hey ASC,

First of all I'm relatively new to this forum, and I can't find the search bar thus, why I'm asking this instead of searching through 50+ pages of doctor threads. Maybe it'll come with the age verification, which should happen within the next few days

Anyways...

I purchased a brand new Tokyo Marui G18C today and so far, I'm loving it. However, I've run into a problem. When filling it with Green Gas (Firepower i believe it is...) when I insert the male part into the female charging port, the gas escapes everywhere and I can only fill the mag part way. Now obviously I'm missing an oring somewhere so my question is: is the oring supposed to be on the male part (on the bottle) or the female valve (bottom of mag)? I paid $18 for the bottle so I'm hoping I can fix this problem so the liquid money doesn't go to waste! Haha.

Second question is that, the version I bought is "Canadian Legal" so it has smoke/clear lower frame. I do realize it's illegal to have a all black frame, but is there any way I can purchase/acquire a all black frame?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks guys.

***EDIT: I realize this question was asked a couple threads down. If anyone can help with the second question, that would be great!

To answer you're second question: It is not illegal to own an all black frame, although it says a lot about your character that you want to purchase it thinking it's illegal, as the frame is the questionable part for importation: It makes it the most expensive to acquire. Yes, you can buy one, I can actually see two Guarder ones in the AV section of ASC. So go get age verified.

i don't think there's anything wrong with your mag, i think you're just charging it wrong, like, charging on an angle or something

Thanks I now know where the search bar is haha. I was always told it's illegal. Interesting. And I realize that sounds bad, but I don't mean it in that way at all. I'm just getting into the sport and I have a lot of respect for it and I look forward to actually getting out and playing. Just more of a realism preference.

Simple noob thing you might be doing:

Do you invert your mag (and bottle) when filling? Meaning aiming the bottom of the mag at the ceiling and the top of the bottle at the floor.

If not...

Haha, great meme, but I'm filling it with the bottle inverted. As I understand, it's a Tokyo Marui thing to do (not have the oring in the valve).

i just got a g18 to an noticed this as well. filling my hi cappa mags is no problem but he g18 seems to spew ...

I am not sure if O Rings come wiht TM mags.. All my mags brand new OOB have no orings. Neither do my Hi Cappa mags.

Maybe tomorrow i will goto home depot n see if there are any orings that will fit the valve.
