150% recoil spring
Hi, does anyone know why we have to change a stronger recoil spring when we upgrade our plastic slide to metal? Thanks!

Heavier slide plus more friction - Needs a stronger spring in order to operate correctly. Otherwise the spring won't likely be able to bring the slide back to battery properly

Or as quickly. Especially if you've got a plastic frame, this could cause problems because of the fact that without the stiffer spring, the slide will be impacting with much more force into the frame, and can cause cracking of the plastic bits. (for example, this was an issue on some earlier KSC USP compacts.)
