So my friend now know 650 is to hot. He will settle for a vsr 10 bolt action too shoot 500 fps with .28 bbs. Safe?

Your friend seems a bit clueless.
Most of the folks here running a bolt action rifle have found much better accuracy and consistency with a much lower velocity.

I'm not so sure the "friend" exists in the first place. In my experience, it's usually someone posting on behalf of a "friend" to not get flamed as much.

We measure speeds with .20... your friend should do some research. Shooting 500 with .28s could very well destroy the internals of a BA even if it is a real VSR-10 not a PoS clone. Let alone its impact force could be substanial. You need to stop doing leg work for your friend.

One thread about this idiocy is sufficient. Take it back to the original one.
And 500fps with .28? Seriously? I'm not sure if you're really that utterly clueless or trolling. If its the former, re-read the wealth of information provided to you in your first thread, Either way, welcome to my radar.
