army g17

I had recently bought a army glock off classifieds i love it but it started acting up first game i used it. It would shot maybe 4 to 5 shots wouldn't feed the next bb until you re cock the slide then it would kinda pull a g18 full auto then back to semi :/ and one more think with no mag in it and cocking it it would make a click for the firing pin when you pull the trigger butevery few pulls it wont. I opend it up tryed figureing it out but cant seem to find the problem.

Best option is to throw it away and buy a TM G17! But seriously, it sounds like the trigger mechanism is messing up. Make sure all the little springs are straight and not screwed up. That's what happens when you buy chinese clones.

Clone for $100 or rip off TM for $300, hrmmm. I own a few of these. Most likely the sear, or the hammer itself. If the part on the hammer that locks the sear is worn away then ya this is what happens. I own 5 glocks FYI

What he said.

And what he said.

This maybe noob but basics come first before the complicated answers.

If your gun is not gassed up enough, your slide can't rack properly to feed the bbs into the feeding ramp. And make sure the spring on your loading nozzle is working properly. It's under the slide. Most times if the loading nozzle can't move, it won't chamber a bb.

For full-auto and firing pin, that's sounds like a sear and disconnector issue. Does your trigger reset to the firing position after the full auto thing? If not then your trigger bar is not resetting properly because its getting caught on the sear and the hammer housing. When this happens, it jams your sear so it can't lock onto the hammer which is connected to the valve knocker. Without the sear catching onto the hammer, the hammer will want to stay in the upright position. Now, if your slide blows the hammer back without it catching, it creates the full auto effect your talking abooooooooootttttt!

but i don't know If I can't see it. hence "what he said".

do you know anyone in the area with a G17? Can you borrow someone else's mag? that will help you narrow down the problem.

That would have nothing to do with the mags. I have am having a similar issue. Either it doesn't re-cock or it goes full auto. I am kinda stumped, I have a guarder trigger bar and the hammer and sear are TM. Nothing is worn away my trigger bar just does not want to reset.

another the reason why the full auto thing happens on a g17 is because of the hammer bearing. if its too small, the slide can't push the hammer down far enough for the sear to lock it into place. the hammer bearing is what the hammer uses to get the slide to push down on the hammer. if its too small or the rail that the bearing slides along is worn, you get the the full auto effect. try changing the bearing to a larger one. or temporarily pack the bbu where the bearing touches with some tape or something to see if that fixes your problem.

unless your sear is worn. there's a tab that interacts with the hammer. check to see if it locks into place with the hammer or see if the corners are not rounded off.
