King Arms P90 inner barrel
I've just grabbed a KA P90 from Toronto Airsoft (go mystery boxes!) and have a few questions about changing up the inner barrel. Looking at airsoftparts.ca, the main 2 brands they have are Mad Bull and Prometheus. Googling the brands show that Prometheus is better, but is it 2x the price better?
Toronto Airsoft stocks Angry Gun, Modify Hybrid and Military Action inner barrels. However, my Googling ability doesn't seem to find any info on these brands. Are they any good? Finally, if anyone has any information or tips/suggestions (or simply tell me I'm retarded for changing my inner barrel), please tell me. I'm new to this, and it'll be great to get any info. |

Honestly the stock barrel for this gun is pretty decent. If you're looking for more accuracy then a good hopup bucking will do much more for you.Don't go Willy Nilly with your upgrades right out of the gate. Just lurk the forums for a few months before opening a gun.

Have you even used it yet? Why are you changing the barrel?

Prometheus barrel is worth spending the money on (they do make a big difference over the stock barrels) but only if you plan on making your P90 your primary. If not, I suggest just getting a Madbull. You'll get similar results (a better barrel then the stock) but at half the cost.
There are many instructional videos on youtube showing you how to swap barrels on P90s as well |

Since I don't have a similar length prommy eg barrel to compare to the madbull 6.03 i have in my p90, I can't make a valid comparison... (there is a 407mm prommy eg in my g36 that I'm working on)
I like the results the madbull is giving me in my p90, but my p90 is far from stock. :P |

Thanks for the info guys. Yes, the p90 is quite accurate out of the box (<1" groups at 30ft). I want to make it is as accurate as possible for some cottage plinking along with the ability to play in games.
If I'm gonna change the hop-up rubber, what are some good brands? |

I have an rhopped barrel now so I don't use an off the shelf bucking without modification... though before I had the r-hop, I used a PDI W hold... I loved it.
Btw 30 ft is nothing... hitting something at 150 ft is something. Putting a 3 of 3 rounds into a window 2 floors up the size of a vhs cassette from 90ft and hitting is something. :P With my PDI W hold I was hitting a man sized target at 50M easily, but this is with a marui hopup. With that same hopup and Rhop I'm hitting a dinner plate at 60M. Then I lose sight of the BB. |
