the echo 1 should be a decent upgrade platform. I started with the worst of the worst a TSD sd 700. the only thing beter about it then any other vsr/bar 10 is that the outer barrel is much longer then any other one out there, if i recall it takes a 600mm or 630mm inner barel.
i wil admit tho the tolerances leave much to be desired i will eventually grab tm or echo1 gspec to hide my long inner inside a big silencer.

to the guy whos ba doesnt shoot further then his m4, i think u r doing something wrong, with .36 or .40 i can hit a torso sized target at 350-400ft and can hear the thwack of the bb hitting it. Im not sure what u got in your rifle but somethin aint right, even at 450fps with .36 it was good out to300ft plus once i tweaked the hop up by adding a nub(there useually isnt one in a vsr) and found the ideal bb (str8 .36's) it was quite the rifle .
tho the crappy tolerances on the tsd mean that once in a while ill get a stray shot, almost always pulls to the left prolly one in 15 or 20 shots does this.

1) Necropost
2) What does having a 600mm barrel have to do with anything?

Airsoft isn't real steel, anything beyond 430ish mm is just a waste

longer barrel give a more stable flight in my experiance. I had m4 with the standard 363mm in it it was okay once i swapped in an ak 410mm i think it was it tightened up my groupings and increased range a bit, the stock gun was a jg and the ak barrel came from a kraken so they wer both crappy barrels to start with it is likely they are both 6.04 or 6.05 id, at the same time i swapped the ak for a 6.02 430 mm and also noticed a beter grouping obviously due to the tighter bore, the range increase was not really noticeable but logic would dictate that a longer barrel would increase range providing the cylender has enough volume to use the barrel eficiantly.
yes i notice now the guy befor me revived this post lol.
I always swap my m4 barrel to a 430 or 455-460 depending if it has a 3/4 or4/5 ported cylender and am always happy with the results. Also i have fired another vsr10, it was the stock sized barrel in a tm is a 430mm and mine had far better range both wer shooting around 500fps, his was 498 mine is 513, with the same internals aside from the barrel, so also it will increase fps a lil. Note i double checked my package for the barrel it is actually a 560mm the stock one measured 555, i think due to the laylax air seal chamber desing it allow the extra 5mm
