When I painted my G17 lower I removed all the internals and sprayed a light coat inside then 2 or 3 coats on the outside then 2 coats of clear on the outside and a coat of clear on the inside. I did not have any problems refitting the internals just remember to keep your coats thin and even.

Just lightly dust it until everything is covered. You'll get an idea how far away to stay with the can when you start painting. And keep it equal. Also what do you mean by refitting? Will you be taking the gun apart and then painting it? Just tape off everything that shouldn't be painted and should be good to go.

light (220) sanding then spray coating, then your Moms fishnet stockings. Not the heels, just the fishnet stockings.

As mentioned above. Don't cake it on, otherwise things wont cycle properly. Obtained an old 1911, the lower was layered with paint. The slide wouldn't even budge.

put down some card board or news paper and shake the can well and hold it far back like 1-2 ft and spray as u pass over the gun back n forth pilut a thin coat let it dry 10-15 min and reapply till its painted evenly, read the can itll tell u wht to do, and yes tape internals off like i said befor. Ie the magwell slide rails, the hole left from removing mag release the hammer area.
