Maybe I shouldn't shave down the stock buckings... getting annoyed at buying buckings, I have 2 of those moundless prommy's, I need to try out the second and see if it's any better.

In order to isolate your problem you need to make sure that the buckings you're shaving down don't have an airleak pre-surgery.

Once I've established a good sleeve/hop-up unit pairing, THEN I'll shave that sleeve down. Also you don't *NEED* the Prometheus or Modify sleeve if you have a bunch of sleeves kicking around.

Tip: Make sure that the surfaces that you shaved down are smoothed out with fine-grit sandpaper, otherwise, yeah you're going to get a leak somewhere.

His OP said he used their moundless rubber as well.

Stealth has X-High Tech ones and Modify just released theirs. I've heard about Prommy's hop up sleeve being stiff as shit and causing bb jams/fps loss. X-High Tech's flat nub worked fine for me and caused no loss at all. Just get yourself a nice soft squishy hop up sleeve.

I say cut your losses tho - is it really worth all the shit over a 10$ piece of rubber? Just double and triple check to make sure its all installed properly and their is no holes/dmg to the sleeve causing that huge loss.

Yeah I can confirm, don't waste your money on those Prommy moundless blue sleeves, they're too stiff.

I'm surprised I didn't think of sanding it down before!
I decided I would go with a lonex 50D, modify that with sand paper this time and take it from there.

To follow up on this post it seems the Prommy bridge is the talk of the town these days - I'd really like to know if it increases range and consistent accuracy.

The difference between the prommy ones and the rest of 'em is that the prommy nubs aren't actually flat... look at the bottom. They have ridges on either side. That means when you install a moundless bucking, the bottom of the bucking is slightly curved around the BB instead of flat, sort of like a retarded cousin of an R hop.

The problem is, if the prommy nubs are too WIDE (not long, wide) for your hop up window, you're kind of screwed, unless you're able to shave equal amounts of rubber off each side. if you trim it like you would a regular flat hop, one side will be thicker than the other and your gun will shoot like a bag of lopsided dicks.

Mr. Cleaning-out-our-stock here is referring to the bridge version of these nubs.

Personally I haven't tried them yet cause you guys keep on buying them all up, but I will compare the Bridge type and the Flat type in a Rhop setup and report back.

We have both Bridge and Flat types in stock right now, but I'm lazy and haven't taken pictures of the Flat ones yet, so our product listing is deceiving. The Flat types are identical to the Firefly Namazu, Xhightech, and Modify nubs where the base is just flat.

FUCK.

So - I tried out this little bridge type nub last night and it doesn't fit in the inner barrel window of my stock barrel and even a Madbull Python length wise - Spike was mentioning that it has to be cut -

Except that you have to have like precision cutting or something is going to get fucked

SPIKE. STEALTH. HALP!

Does it fit width wise? If it's too long, just cut it... no biggie.

How far off is it? I'd just shave it either width or length-wise.

If it's too wide you can sand it a bit, but I wouldn't go crazy unless you're making sure you're even on each side. My point is, if one of the "bridges" is significantly wider than the other, your gun will shoot lopsided.
