Aps uar "aug"

Hi ASC Comrades !!

I'm gonna ask you advice again, (yes i'm an annoying little bitch :P)

I've searched throught the forum on this famous company named APS (or Another Piece of Shit like I saw) and I've concluded that this may not be an bright idea to buy from them.

But after I went on my friend Google and searched different post and I've found couple of good feedback on this AUG.

But the thing thats itching me it's the reviews are always when they just received it, so I wanted to know if someone here have tried, saw or heard about it.

This information it's not for me but my friend (he's gonna buy it when is paycheck come in) and I wanted to know if hes doing a good purchase or just a waste of cash. Don't post a link to buy it, i'm no AV and he already know where to get it (dont ask me, I dont know myself XD)

Thanks for the help and flaming is ENABLED on this post, if you need to bring the bad guy out a bit :P (I know there a lot of newb post on gun these times)

First of all, an AUG is a specific rifle model made by Steyr arms in Austria.

The word you're looking for is a bullpup rifle

If my memory serves me right APS is a subsidiary of Cybergun, but I may be wrong on that one.

Well it's very smart of you to ask us BEFORE buying the gun lol

If you REALLY like the look and price, and don't mind the gamble that it could perform horrible and break often, then it's a gun for you.
If you want something that will last for years, never lose it's resale value, and is fully upgradeable, you'll have to look at a different gun

My advice is to stick to name brands. Marui, classic army

I hate reviews for the exact reason you stated. Someone JUST received the gun, it's their first gun ever, and they think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Then they use it for 3 months, realize it's total crap, and never update or pull their review lol

If you like the price and want to use right now and don't care if it breaks often, then it's the gun for you.
If you REALLY like AUGs and want one that's fully upgradeable and going to last for years and never lose it's resale value, get a marui
The UAR isn't a model made by anyone else (except maybe PTS i you consider the similarities with the PDR), so you can't really go for the name brands on that one. But bullpup rifles do come in many models: Aug, Tar-21, P90 and so on. Your friend might want to hold some of them before shelling money on something he might not like.

Yes I know the AUG is not a configuration like an bullpup, but an type of gun like an Tar-21 or FAMAS :P.

I read somewhere they fit TM parts (not sure on this one)

Well like I said it's not for me, i'm more on gas gun :P. It's more for my friend whodont want to pay high price (even if I keep telling him : buy cheap, buy twice). I try to gather info so I give him an final comment on his gun, this way he can't cry if he buy a crappy gun, hes been warned.

it's a V3 Gearbox inside, most v3 parts will work in it.

Body is ABS plastic, takes m4 mags, in the next couple of months we'll see if it hold up....

it's a really small gun and doesn't have a real steel equivalent

Then why did you call it an AUG then?

It's not an AUG because it doesn't take AUG mags, which look and feel great, but are useless if you're the only one in your fire team who has one. It uses standard STANAG mags.

I've putted AUG because it's seems pretty much to one (and a lot people just call that an AUG). My bad for this confusion XD

I was thinking of getting it as my next gun. It's got a cool design, and comes with two springs; one for indoor CQB and one for outdoor. Uses M4 mags too.

The only question is of the quality.
