G&g m14 mag feed issues.

Hey everybody,

I have a G&g EBR M14 shorty, beautiful rifle. Heres the problem i have 5 mid cap

80rd magazines that wont feed on full auto but work on semi and the high cap

mag that came with the rifle works flawlessly on semi and full auto. I have tried

various brands of .25 bb's and different batteries from 8.4 nimh to 11.1 lipo.

Maybe its just a manufacturer error because 5 mags all have the same problem?

Mags are fully seated in the magwell, they lock in well and release like they

should.

Well if you guys/gals can think of anything let me know.

Cheers

Have you tried lightly lubing your mags?

M14's are notorious for mag issues. From what i can gather cyma and echo 1 m14 mags have different height feed tubes than Classic Army and Tm a different mag design and i think that there is a third design. long story short if it works with the included hi cap its not your bbs or battery you need to find the right mags for your gun. If you compare the height of the little wedge that holds in your bbs (when its not in the gun) on the different mags you can see the difference

ares has the 3rd mag design

TM, cyma(e1), g&p

G&G, CA

the G&G mags should feed fine, they're single stack vs the CA 140 rounders which double stack and sometimes jam. Try shooting the gun upsidedown.. if it's a physical mag jam it will start dry firing and you should be able to pull the mag and look into it to see if it's a BB jam.
