Harder Hop Up Bucking Causing Jams
I just finished installing a Prometheus Hard bucking (RED) in my CYMA M14 (full length) that has been upgraded with an M120
Previously i was having little success with softer buckings so i figured the harder bucking would be better for the ~410FPS im getting with this spring. Once installed i tried a few shots and the gun was just dropping BB's 10 feet in front of me and jamming every other shot... just terrible. I checked to ensure that the bucking was installed properly and i even turned the hop all the way down... no luck. Is it possible that the bucking itself is just too thick/dense for this model of gun? I was using .20's (King Arms Platinum Series.. never had a problem with them before) for the test and the inner barrel was cleaned... Last edited by Bar1975; May 25th, 2013 at 22:39.. |

it jams because the spring on the tappet plate isn't strong enough to push the BB past the bucking's opening. if you work the opening and make it softer or slightly larger in diameter, then the BBs will feed past it fine.

I JUST fixed this issue on a modify rubber like 5 minutes ago lol
Get some 400 grit sandpaper, roll it up into a 6mm tube, and sand out the lip |
