Dissembling the BBU of a KWA Pistol
Alright so I'm about to dissemble the blow back unit in the slide of my KWA mk23 so I can instal the npas. I know I have to unscrew the back sight and the small hex key on the side and somehow use a screw driver to pry it up and out.
What do I do to get the actual black plastic nozzle off so I can get to the valve and springs? Is there anything I should watch out for ect?

Once you get the BBU out, the nozzle will slide off. I suppose you've never taken apart a GBB pistol slide?

Does the USP have the fake fireing pin? If its like the P226 you should only have to remove the screw on the underside of the blowback housing. Then the unit should drop down and free.

Okay so if you look at the blowback housing in this picture its built like the older style non system 7 Sig pro I have. There are depressions in the slide that the protrusions on the front of the housing fit into. This is what is preventing the nozzle housing from coming out. I took a very small shim of meta and I had to slide it in the gap in between the housing and slide and bend it far enough outwars where I could pull out the housing. This is a really stupid design and really doesnt work at all with metal slides guns. |
