HFC M9/M190 Special forces barrel question

I apologize in advance if I am not doing this right as I am relatively new here. I have purchased the HFC M9/M190 Special forces and have really enjoyed the gun throughly however I have the classic conundrum that I'm sure many of you also have which is the removal of the orange tip. Now it seems like on some models of this gun the orange is just painted on but this seems to have an added orange tip which I suspect has been superglued into place. I have done my research into this and many say to put the tip of the gun into boiling water for several minutes and then attempt to pull the cap off but I don't want to damage the gun in any way shape or form. I was just looking for clarification from either HFC M9/M190 Special forces owners or anyone who has experience with this type or orange tip.

Thank you for your time!

I removed a similar tip/plug off of a kraken with a set of vise-grips. Just remove the barrel, secure it, and use locking pliers on the plastic to unscrew the cap. It will be stiff at first until the glue breaks.
