WE AK PMC buttstock change
I was wondering what buttstocks are compatable with the WE AK PMC.
I'm looking for a folding one, preferably one that looks like the one on the their 74un version however I can't seem to find a place to purchase that seperately. Anyone know what folding buttstocks fits on the WE AK PMC? |

Just going by the receiver style, you won't be able to put any of the AK74/74un/104/105/etc styled folding stocks on the WE AK PMC.
That's a fixed stock receiver which had the AK fixed stock swapped out with an AR buffer tube stock adapter. The fixed stock receivers have a tab that sticks out the back and you screw down the receiver to the stock. (not the WE receiver or real steel but gives you an idea) The folding stock AK receivers are completely different and have a locking hinge mechanism built right into it. There's a release button for the stock on the right side near the rear of the receiver and no tab sticking out the back. (hinge mechanism, lack of tabs) The only folding stock you can put on a fixed stock receiver would the the wire stock one, as the folding mechanism is separate from the receiver and is part of the stock assembly. ie. Something like this. That being said, I'm not sure how similar the WE receivers are to real steel or LCT but generally you won't be able to put any of the 74 styled stocks on a fixed stock AK receiver without significantly cutting and welding up your receiver (and that's for real steel)

Hm
Is there a website that will sell these and I can modify it to work with the WE AK? I don't have much modding experience but I really can't stay that default stock indoors. Makes the rifle too long. |

I'll be following this thread, just got my hands on a WE AK74UN with a fixed M4 style stock, thinking I could swap it to the original WE UN stock. Seems this one started as a PMC I guess, otherwise I'd need to get a full lower :/
