CYMA MP5K Upgrades
Hi there,
I've gamed the gun a few times and find the short barrel is giving me a crazy grouping. I am looking to gain some accuracy / range. Currently I am using a 9.6v and everything is stock. What are some recommended parts to get? I was thinking a 230mm 6.03 barrel with a longer suppressor.

If you get a longer barrel you will also probably need to change the cylinder in the gearbox for a regular MP5 ported cylinder to have enough air volume for the new barrel.
The cheaper option to try first should be to change the hop up rubber, something like a PDI W-Hop rubber would work nicely and will probably improve your accuracy a lot more than changing the inner barrel would. Also, make sure you thoroughly clean the stock inner barrel, sometimes the barrels in Cyma guns are very dirty and it can make them very inaccurate.

Drakker,
I have yet to open up an AEG myself, can you direct me to the proper hop-up rubber or some instruction to change it? Thanks. In terms of a ported cylinder, do I look for a regular TM mp5 one? Would regular TM MP5K outer barrel fit the CYMA? Mine gave me a headache when I removed the orange tip.

Having worked on two MP5K so far, I can tell you that working on them is not easy. Disassembly and assembly is a pain, it is very easy to damage the cables which fit very tightly inside the receiver and the body. You have to almost completely disassemble the gun to get to the hop-up rubber.
If you are ready to face some frustrations, it could be a good learning experience, but we are far from the ease of disassembly of say, an AK or an M4. If you are not the tinkerer type, you might want to look for a gun doc to do the work. Any cylinder ported to the right length would do, usually the website description will state for which model a cylinder is for. To change the cylinder, you have to open the gearbox, which can be a daunting task the first few times. I have no idea if a TM outer barrel will fit in a Cyma, as far as I know there is no big difference between the Cyma and the TM, but I have never disassembled a TM, so you might want to wait for somebody more knowledgeable about this to answer. As for the rubber, you can get it anywhere, here's the first link that came to mind: http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=2612

Thanks.
This ported cylinder looks like it is for the length I desire. Thanks! http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1059

Yeah, this cylinder would work perfectly.
You're welcome!

Update
Just finished installing a modify tech barrel and new rubber It is a pain to re fit all the wires Haven't opened the gear box yet. Dont think i want to venture that far. The barrel comes with a bucking already. When is a good time to replace buckings?

What kind of grouping do you get? I get a 1 foot grouping at 150 feet. It's stock internally.

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

my cyma mp5k cylender was good for up to an m4cqb length barrel 280mm i think it was) but even with a good stock length barrel and a straight hop rubber and bridge tensioner it had good groupings out to about 175 ft. At 370fps with 0.28g bbs

what's a bridge tensioner?
PS: I've set my hop-up halfway and it still wanders left and right at about 30m

How stable is your FPS? Does it vary a lot from shot to shot? Did you clean the barrel thoroughly? Is your hop-up rubber clean and oil/grease free?
A bridge tensionner is a large nub: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol..._Flat_type.htm
