Question Trishot-ifying a single barrel shotgun?

do you think it would be possible to trishot-ify some G&P M870 shotgun, using the guts of a tri-shot? or both, melded together?

The tri-shots are slightly larger in all directions than G&Ps, and the G&Ps have completely different takedown procedures/ anchors for parts.
It's unfortunately beyond 'impractical/ not cost effective', shoots past 'too much work', and lands somewhere between 'insane artisan pet project' and 'retarded backwards engineering clusterfuck'.

This is part of why everyone got so hot and bothered about the gas TM 870s.

If anyone can tell me I'm wrong and show me exactly how, I'll be ecstatic, but I'm not holding my breath.

'Fun' is relative. The G&Ps feel great and work very well, but their mags and usefulness as a shotgun leave something to be desired.

That said, I know a guy who got the lucky draw on an ACM knockoff (awesome externals, shouldn't be good internally) that shoots like a sniper rifle, so he could care less about multiple shots and shells; he's bagging dudes like a pathologist.

It's a tradeoff game-wise. If you want to field a shotgun that sort-of functions like a shotgun in airsoft terms, buy a tri shot. If you want to field a shotgun with the tactile feel of being a shotgun badass, single shots rule. If you want the best of both and have money to burn, buy a gas TM870.
