ER Hop
Hey guys,
I need help here. I recently got a KJW m700 takedown. I would like to get some good accuracy out of it and have been looking at options, currently the gun is shooting 450-500 fps (im using .30's) now I would like to know if ER Hop is good for this gun (it would be going on a tbb not the stock barrel) and if anyone knew the best parts/ service providers to do that for me. Also as a side note if it matters I would be shortening the rifle from a 26 in to a 20 or 22. Thanks guys!!!! |

450-500 you should be using heavier rounds first of all.
You might see some benefit, but I would try a standard Rhop or IRhop sized patch. To do ER you need to significantly mod the barrel window and maybe hop up unit. the standard R-hop size can lift .4s just fine.

According to the guy who developed and has done extensive testing on Rhop, you don't really need ER hop until you're up in the 600fps range using heavier than .43 ammo.
Like knight said, your first step should be to use .36g BBs. Next would be an IR-hop. The IR is silicone based, which makes it perform significantly better in cold conditions. |
