QD Swivel on Rear Receiver
Never been happy with Airsoft QD swivel hold capacity. The ones I have used can easily be pulled out.
Bought some QD Swivel bases and drilled a out a Dytac rear receiver. Used some JB Welded to ensure it stays in place and the results are; |

Looks nice but I'm not sure if JB Weld has the shear strength that you're looking for.
Always trust a mechanical bond more than a chemical bond. |

Should have mentioned; it was a press fit also.
Pulled on QD as hard as I could and no movement. |

Looks great. Very clean editing you did there. It's good you pulled on it, and that's a good hint it'll last you, but it's impacts, or sudden drops that'll exert a jerking force on it that might show a weakness, especially at off angles.
I find it safe to say you're good to go, but play Devil's advocate; mount your sling and drop it or jerk it around over your bed or couch and see if if holds. |

If both are steel just weld along the back & grind down smooth.

Pick your gun up by the sling, and swing it in circles over your head. You'll need to be sure that your mount will hold while you perform this common battle tactic.

My way doesn't involve drywall patching if it fails, lol. Otherwise, I agree!

Welding would be the best and permanent solution.
