High Speed P90 for indoor

I currently have a P90 shooting at around 396FPS, which is great for outside. However in the winter I want to use it indoors under 300FPS. Since the P90 has a drop in GearBox I will be buying a second V6 Gearbox which I want to modify for very high rate of fire and lower FPS (bellow 300FPS).

I am quite new to the V6 and need some guidelines, should I go LIPO and what Voltage or stay NIMH with higher voltage? What motor, gears, spring (M90?).

Tu peux pas avoir un ROF élévé et un FPS bas.
Sinon le piston a pas le temps de retourner en place avant de se faire ramasser par les gears.

La solution est d'utiliser un cylindre plein (M16), un piston avec 6-7 dents en metal et short-stroke le piston et les gears. Avec un spring genre M120-M130, ca donne un FPS raisonnable, mais beaucoup de stress sur la mechbox. Tu va avoir un ROF plus élevé, proche de 30-35 mais la mechbox ne tiendra pas.

L'autre option est d'utiliser un spring M100-M110 (tout juste en dessous de 350... genre 345-346) et une LiPo 11.1v avec un MOSFET. Ca donne généralement 25-30 BB/sec sans effet négatif sur la mechbox. Plus bas FPS = pistons et gears strippés en quantité.

The easiest and cheapest way in my opinion would to but an Element High Speed motor http://www.khmountain.com/airsoft/pr...oducts_id=1418 and an 11.1v lipo. This should get you shooting at at least 35+ RPS and should only cost you $60ish dollars. If your gearbox has stock Chinese internals, your piston will certainly strip before you are done your first game. You'll also realistically need a MOSFET since your contacts will start to wear out VERY quickly on an 11.1v lipo. And you don't want to run a sub-300fps spring because the gears will be spinning very fast and the spring is not stiff enough to return the piston back to forward position, thus causing your gearbox to explode (or something like that). Thus, you're gonna have to spend a lot more that $60 to buy good internals that can handle the RPS of a high speed setup. And I just realized that most of the things I've said was covered by Kos-Mos.

Never done it but I think you could short stroke the piston to achieve lower FPS higher ROF setup without blowing up your mechbox. Basically taking off one tooth on the piston and on the sector gear. Makes the piston release earlier than normal. Thus achieving lower FPS with an identical spring

Do some research though its more complex than it sounds

Gets about 25bps @ ~350fps
I plan to drop a high speed motor in at some point

I've seen guns with similar setups (better motor) pushing 55bps @ ~350fps

m140 springs? come' on you have to admit 350 FPS is pretty darn low for that type of spring. There has to be some bad leak. I expect you to have at least 400 fps+ on that thing with insane rate of fire.

See above. It's the sector gear which doesn't have all the teeth, short-stroking the piston. Which requires a higher fps spring to reach normal FPS levels. Research a little more and inform yourself before making those conclusions.

What are your RoF goals and budget?
I do a lot of high speed builds, cheapest way to build a reliable one is to use SHS Gen 4 12:1 or 13:1 gears and a SHS HT motor. Add a sector delay clip, and short stroke 2 or 3 teeth depending on your RoF.

Who the hell builds a DSG and uses a ferrite motor? I guess I should run my DSG on some triple A's then. All that work in building the DSG, when the gun would have run just as fast if you didn't DSG it with a ferrite motor...

I'm willing to say as much as 300.00$
An for ROF as high as possible but id liked to keep the fps up..long story short it's a CQB weapon I don't wanna mod the look of it with this massive barrel where I have to have my silencer on 24/7
so ya this would be my first up grade I know the basics but picking the right parts is where I have no clue in what I'm doing that's where hopefully you Veterans come in.
