CYMA MP5 with King Arms plastic midcaps
I recently bought a used Cyma MP5 with 4 king arms plastic midcaps. The seller said everything was fine and didn't mention any problems with the mags, but when I tested them out they just wont lock into place and don't feed for shit! I can easily pull them out with just two fingers without touching any of the mag releases and they wobble like a mofo.
Here is a video showing the problem- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yb4puSDNmr0 My question for ASC; is this normal for the Cyma to not work with King Arms mags and vice-versa?? There was some strips of velcro tape in the magwell but it didn't help too much. Please let me know if this is a common problem with either the gun of the brand of mags. I was asking for partial refund to cover cost of new mags, fair?? Thanks! Last edited by rc_p120; October 26th, 2014 at 18:20.. |

Some mags will not fit well in some guns. That's just the reality of so many different airsoft brands and different measurements/tolerances. But if the seller didn't mention it, that's an issue.

I don't know for regular Cyma MP5s, but for Cyma MP5Ks, the plastic King Arms mags definitely won't fit.

It's possible that the lip that's supposed to lock the mags into the magwell are just worn, I had an mp5 where the mags had the same issue, I bought an 8 pack of mag brand plastic midcaps for 37$ from ehobby and they work perfectly. Mine was a g&g btw
