P226 experts chime in build advice

I want to build a P226

Does anyone have a how to plan handy?

Eg; put part 1here and part 2 there etc etc........

Is a Guarder platform compatible with KJW guts?

Thanks

Interesting......

Why?

Is it for efficiency or for piece of mind?

it's the only part that's pretty much guaranteed to break. anything else is just gravy.

mine has a nine ball barrel, different bucking, valve knocker, and a bearing spring guide. it's not quite the build that e did but mine is a kj based thing so meh

Ok.

I saw the pics too.

They are very nice.

So KJW parts are good to go on the Guarder frame ?

Nope, unless it's a frame for the kjw, most aftermarket kits are for Tokyo Marui guns. Kjw uses a different design and it's metal out of the box so why would you put a different kit on it.

IMO if your are going to custom a 226, get a TM, more aftermarket parts, and has a way higher performance potential. I run a prime kit on mine, solid as a rock, and performs perfectly.

uhh, no, its the TM design but the measurements are slightly different (par for the course with any metal body kit). parts for a TM work in a KJ but not 100% the other way around is all.

Hmm, I've only worked on one and couldn't get much to work on it, but I could be wrong. I still would not see a point in putting a metal upgrade kit onto a stock metal pistol.

When I upgraded/ fixed my Kjw P226 it needed a new valve knocker, Outer Barrel and hammer housing. Usually its only the valve knocker that needs a replacement.

So .........the reason I wanted to build a P226 is because I want a Navy version without the rail.

I have no interest in acquiring a WE P226 in order to get the Navy version.

You're way better off finding someone selling a used one than building your own.

You are right!

I would like to try anyway. I have not seen anyone in my area with a Navy version.

I want to be different.
